2004 Jeep Liberty engines SUCK… Or what I have been doing since I last posted

A couple of weekends ago I was excited to talk about the Big Apple Circus. We brought Spotty Chop. He seemed to really enjoy himself.

Although we had a lot more fun trying to get our car out of the garage. They kept bringing us the wrong vehicle. At least 2 different Jeeps…at one point boy toy and I were laughing so hard we had tears in our eyes. Everyone else waiting for cars seemed nervous. It was all good. While driving home the oil light came on. We needed gas anyways so we stopped to fill it and pour a quart in. The oil light kept coming on…>

Early Monday morning I was awoken to boy toy praying to the porcelain god. Apparently he wasn’t going to work. Spotty and I did our morning thing and hopped into the car. We were listening to Peter Pan unabridged (the original). About 15 – 20 minutes from the house when I heard something. I shut the CD off, Spotty was not happy. But then the car started to…hiccup…I decided to pull into a parking lot to see what the heck was going on and in the middle of my turn the car shut off. Luckily I had enough momentum to get into the parking lot and into a space.

Did I mention that it was the first day with a new boss????

I wrote to Auntie D who had #3 give me a call, he said have it towed to his house (about 3 minutes away) and we would see what was what. I left a message with my new boss that I wouldn’t be in and called boy toy to come rescue us. Boy toy came, pissed off because he had been telling me for months to go get an oil change and now this is the second fing time you have blown an engine because you don’t change the oil! He tossed me his AAA card and then left with Spotty to bring him to school.

I had NO emergency book in the car (I went to NY the week before and forgot a book for the flight so I grabbed it and forgot to replace it.) THE HORROR!

The tow truck eventually came, boy toy was back by then, we brought it to #3’s went home and I went to bed. That’s right at about 10:00am I was so stressed out that I went to bed until about 3:00. Woke up, we drove to 1) get Spotty and 2) pick up my mom’s car.

Later that night #3 called us to say “hey did you know that apparently there is a problem with 2004 Jeeps motors?” Boy toy took the pterodactyl out of his butt.

I wish I could tell you I have my Jeep back, but I don’t, these motors are flying off the shelves right now. We had one, but the RAT FINK MUTHER FUCKING BASTARDS sold it because they couldn’t wait the half a day it was going to take for #3 to get there with CASH! So they are rebuilding me a new one. I borrowed my mom’s car for a week, rented a car for a week and now since my folks are now in FL I have their cars for another week. Word of advice; don’t rent the cheapest car you can possibly find after driving a tricked out Honda…it’s not comfy…

We also had a carnival set up about 3 min from our house, we spent several days there. Do you think anyone had fun?

I visited with my Jeep yesterday, asked how she was feeling. She would like this over and done with, she wants to come home.

I know I have a few letters to Spotty that I need to get done. I have read 4 books since walking away from the eeeevile Facebook gaming empire. Hopefully I am back on track.
Although I feel like someone up there is laughing at me. Boy Toy finally has a job after being out of work for a year, the taxes come in and we have started digging ourselves out of the pit of doom we have been living under with only one paycheck (unemployment ran out several months ago)…and now this. I know we are SO fortunate. WE only spent one night shop vacing the basement and only lost 1 or 2 boxes during all of the flooding. WE kept our house; WE always are able to put food on the table; Spotty Chop is HEALTHY and HAPPY. But Damit Janet I wanted to start moving ahead again, I started thinking of maybe the Jersey Shore in October…oh well, as a famous man once said “shut up and soldier soldier!”

Dear Spotty Chop you are 59 months old today

You have said a few things lately that have made me stop in my tracks:

On our way to school one morning “My heart is going to explode! I love you tons and tons and tons and googleplex!”

Me frosting Boy Toy’s b-day cake “You really are a great mama” queue waterworks as he throws his arms around my neck.

On our way to school another morning “Am I going to die when I get old?” ‘babe everybody dies at some point, but it won’t be soon’“but do they come back?” ‘no love, you don’t come back’HYSTERICAL CRYING “but I will miss you I don’t want to die, “‘NO ONE IS DYING, YOU ARE NOT DYING, it’s ok bud’

You told your daddy the other day when he picked you up that you didn’t get enough sleep the night before, so he asked you if maybe you should go to bed a little earlier. You thought it would be a good to try. Separately I had asked you if you wanted me to wake you up earlier so you could watch a TV show before leaving for the day, you thought that would be a great idea. Since you have been going to bed earlier and getting up earlier our morning and evening routines are going off pretty much without a hitch. You ROCK kiddo!

You are a reader! I think that is CRAZY! But I LIKE IT.

Movie night is still going strong, but now you seem to like to “trick us” by not telling us what the movie is until we are downstairs. You toss it in the dvd player and hit play while we bring down pizza and popcorn. You sit on me for awhile, you sit on daddy for a little while and you dance around the room.

You love the Wii fit. Especially yoga. You’ve got a mean downward dog love. You told your daddy (as you were doing a yoga pose) “maybe if you exercise like me your belly will get smaller and be like mine”. Ain’t that the truth!

We spent 2 hours in the library the other day. You have started picking out your own books and not just having me pick them. You are a graphic novel JUNKIE. Reason # 9,787,435,678,234 why I love you like crazy.

You have been very sharing lately. You make sure that daddy and I always have some of what you are having.

You want to start waking up to your alarm clock. I explained to you that your alarm would be hard to hear since you climb into our bed almost every morning. You told me “maybe we should unplug your alarm clock and use mine instead.” God Help Me.

We have been listening to books on tape on our way to school. We listened to the “My Father’s Dragon” series, you really seemed to like it and now we are listening to Mrs. Pigglewiggle. When we came to the part of the “won’t go to bed” illness you looked at me slyly, giggled and said “I need that cure”. How I don’t eat you is beyond me.

You like to ride underneath the carriage when we go to stores. I keep telling you that you might get hurt, but you don’t believe me. Yesterday you went to Costco with Nannie and she accidently ran over your thumb. Apparently it really hurt. She felt so bad that you got TWO movies out of her. ‘Open Season’ which your daddy is going to LOVE LOVE LOVE. You two have been wanting to see this since we were up in NH over the summer staying in the Adventure Suites and you had your own Playstation in your bedroom. But unfortunately she also got the Family Guy’s Star Wars spoof. She didn’t realize that it was not appropriate for little kids, she just figured it was a cartoon. After I spoke to her she tried to tell you that it was for big people and you said, “no nannie, it’s a cartoon for me”. Can’t wait to break the news to you…I’ll let you know how you react next month.

Kisses
mama

Where the $%&C(NG HELL IS MY MUTHER $%&C(NG BOOKS!!!

So, haven’t posted any book related posts lately huh? There is a reason for this. I keep losing the FRELLING books I am reading. I am not the type of person who reads more than one book at a time. It just doesn’t work for me. I like starting a book, reading it all the way through, and then starting another one.

Since before Christmas (CHRISTmas folks!) I have misplaced the book “Lost” (HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA kill me). I finally broke down and read another book, finished it, started another book…and lost that FRELLING piece of shit too! A diskworld novel…So now I have 2 books MIA! I keep trying to pick up another book, but I have a deep fear that I will now lose EVERYTHING I HAVE EVER READ!!!!!!

I did just cash in a gift certificate to Amazon, so hopefully the lure of the new book will call me back…

Its been a while, but I am jumping into Carmi's theme of the week.
This week its time to reflect on 2009, I think I can do that...

If you're new to TP, read on...

Every Wednesday evening, at precisely 7 o'clock Eastern, I post a new Thematic Photographic Each entry has a unique theme. This week's is...perspective!
You post a similarly themed image over on your blog.
You paste a link to your entry in a comment here.
If you've already posted something that fits (on a blog, Facebook, MySpace, wherever) simply post the link to the existing entry.
Old or new, all photos are welcome.
You may post as many photos or links as you wish. For the next week, I'll be supporting this theme with a related picture/posting each day. I encourage you to do the same. This is all about sharing, so feel free to share to your heart's content!
Please share this link with friends, too, and encourage them to join in. The more, the merrier. And please accept my thanks for your enthusiasm. Your participation has made TP a true highlight for me each and every week.
